Kentucky Picture Cars Partners with PictureCarsForRent.com to Deliver Local Vehicles for Film and TV
Kentucky’s film and television industry continues to grow, and productions filming here need reliable access to authentic vehicles that match the story. Kentucky Picture Cars has joined forces with PictureCarsForRent.com to give producers and location managers a stronger pool of picture cars right here in the state.
How the Collaboration Works
The partnership connects Kentucky Picture Cars directly to a national network of rental vehicles through PictureCarsForRent.com. Local owners list their cars, trucks, and specialty vehicles once, and productions searching for Kentucky-specific looks can browse and book them without leaving the state database. This setup keeps everything local while giving crews the variety they expect from a larger national platform.
Free Listings for Vehicle Owners
Car owners in Kentucky can add their vehicles to the system at no cost through the USA Movie Cars national database. Once listed, the same vehicle appears in searches on both the state and national sites, increasing visibility to production teams looking for authentic Kentucky plates, models, and patina. No upfront fees or long contracts are required to get started.
Maximizing Kentucky Film Tax Credits
Productions that hire local picture cars and local actors often qualify for higher state film tax credits and incentives. Kentucky offers film tax credits and incentives that reward the use of in-state resources. When a production sources vehicles and talent from Kentucky Picture Cars and the connected Kentucky Actors site, those expenditures count toward the local spend requirements that help unlock the full incentive package. Using out-of-state resources can reduce the credit amount a project receives, so keeping both cars and cast local makes strong financial sense.
Why PictureCarsForRent.com Stands Out
PictureCarsForRent.com has earned strong reviews from location managers and transportation captains for its clean interface, accurate vehicle photos, and responsive support team. Productions appreciate being able to filter by year, make, condition, and even specific modifications needed for scenes. The platform’s national reach means a single listing can serve projects across multiple states while still highlighting Kentucky-based owners first when the shoot is local.
Connecting with Local Acting Talent
Productions that also need local performers should visit the Kentucky Actors site. This state-specific platform feeds directly into the national database at USActors.com, giving casting directors one place to source both vehicles and talent that qualify for Kentucky incentives. The same login credentials used for picture cars often carry over, keeping the workflow simple for production offices.
Practical Benefits for Kentucky Productions
Working with Kentucky Picture Cars through the shared system reduces shipping costs, shortens turnaround times for vehicle changes, and keeps more production dollars inside the state. Local vehicles already carry the correct registration and insurance documentation, which speeds up the approval process with transportation coordinators. Owners who list on USA Movie Cars also gain exposure to national projects that may later decide to shoot additional scenes in Kentucky.
The combined reach of Kentucky Picture Cars and PictureCarsForRent.com gives both small independent projects and larger studio shoots access to a wider selection of period cars, modern fleet vehicles, and specialty rigs without leaving the state. Producers can request multiple options for the same scene, compare availability dates, and lock in vehicles that match the script’s time period and geographic feel.
